On the ground in Louth
A Louth chauffeur service, from your door.
From Louth the A16 runs south through Boston and Spalding to Peterborough and the A1, the A153 heads south-west to Horncastle, and the A631 goes west toward Market Rasen.
Louth sits under the spire of St James' Church, the tallest of any medieval parish church in England, and the Greenwich meridian runs straight through the town. What it does not have is a fast road. Every airport journey starts on single-carriageway A-roads, and the London airports are a long way south. That is the honest case for a chauffeur from Louth: the drive is long enough that you should not be the one doing it, least of all on the way home after a flight.
The London airports are the runs we make most from the town. Your chauffeur takes the A16 south through Boston and Spalding to Peterborough, then the A1, and from there either stays on it or crosses on the A421 to the M1, depending on the airport. Stansted and Luton are each about three hours from Louth and Gatwick about four. Heathrow is about three and a half hours leaving at 3am or outside the rush, and nearer four and a half if you set off between 4am and 7am.
Coming home is often the harder half. A Friday afternoon from Heathrow back to Louth can take around five hours, with the M25 and the A1 both at their worst, so the return leg is booked with the outbound trip and your chauffeur tracks your flight rather than guessing. You land, you are met, and the long drive north up the A16 is somebody else's job.
Most of our Louth pickups are from home rather than from anywhere in town, which suits an early start: the car is outside your door at the agreed time and your luggage goes in the boot without a walk to a rank. That holds for the villages too, from Waltham on the edge of Grimsby to Binbrook up on the Wolds, and from Alford down to Saltfleetby near the coast.
