Who we are

Lincolnshire Chauffeur Services provides the services described on this website. We are based at The Bakehouse, Gauntlet Road, Bicker, Lincolnshire, PE20 3BX, and are a member of the British Chauffeurs Guild (permit 2722CT). Our service

We provide pre-booked, chauffeur-driven executive travel: airport and seaport transfers, business travel, events and private journeys. This is a pre-arranged service, not a taxi, minicab or on-demand service. Every journey is booked and confirmed in advance.

Quotes and booking

Journeys are quoted individually. When you send us the details of your journey we give you a price; there is no fare shown on this website. A quote is an estimate based on the information you give us, and it holds for the period we state when we send it. A booking is made when we confirm it with you, and the details we confirm, the pickup, the destination, the time and the price, are the terms of that journey.

Payment

We do not ask for a deposit. Payment is due for the journey you have booked, and we accept bank transfer, which we prefer, cheque, or card, including American Express. We are VAT registered, so business journeys can be invoiced properly. The price is the one confirmed with your booking. There is no meter and no surge.

Cancellations and changes

Please let us know as early as you can if you need to cancel or change a booking. A cancellation made within 24 hours of the pickup time is charged at 50% of the agreed fare, because the car and driver have been set aside for you and the slot can rarely be filled at short notice. Outside 24 hours there is no charge. Changes to the timing or route are usually straightforward: tell us and we will confirm any difference to the price.

If a pickup is missed

If you do not arrive for a booked pickup and we are unable to reach you, the journey is treated as a cancellation within 24 hours. In practice this almost never happens, and a quick call or message if your plans change avoids it entirely.

Waiting time

Waiting time is charged at £25 an hour. It does not apply when an inbound flight is delayed: we track your flight and adjust the pickup at no extra cost. Waiting time is normally only relevant on a day return, where your chauffeur waits to bring you home.

Flight and sailing delays

For airport and seaport journeys we monitor your inbound flight or sailing and adjust the pickup to match, so a delay on the way in is ours to manage rather than yours. We do not charge for a delayed flight.

Passengers and luggage

Both cars carry up to four passengers. The saloon takes two large and two small cases; the estate takes four large and two medium cases. If you are travelling with more luggage than that, tell us when you book and we will make sure the right car is sent.

Your responsibilities

Please give us accurate details when you book, including the correct pickup address, timing and any flight or sailing number, and let us know as early as you can if anything changes. Please be ready at the agreed pickup time. Passengers are asked to travel safely and considerately, including wearing seatbelts.

Our responsibilities

We carry out every journey with reasonable care and skill, in a suitable, insured vehicle driven by a professional chauffeur. Punctuality is the heart of what we do, so we plan pickups with sensible margin and, for airport work, watch inbound flights.

Matters outside our control

Some things cannot be planned away, such as severe traffic, road closures, accidents, extreme weather or other events beyond our reasonable control. We build margin into every journey to reduce the effect of the ordinary ones, but we cannot accept responsibility for a delay caused by something genuinely outside our control.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where the law does not allow it, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, our responsibility is to provide the journey you have booked with reasonable care and skill.

Using this website

The content, design and images on this website are ours or used with permission, and may not be copied or reused without our consent. We keep the site accurate and available as far as we reasonably can, but we do not warrant that it will always be free of errors or interruption.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the date you book is the one that applies to your booking.
