Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.
Who we are
Lincolnshire Chauffeur Services is the data controller for the information described here. We are an owner-run chauffeur business based at The Bakehouse, Gauntlet Road, Bicker, Lincolnshire, PE20 3BX.
If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at enquiries@lincolnshirechauffeurservices.com or on 07770 760260.
The information we collect
We only collect what we need to answer your enquiry and arrange your journey.
- Enquiry and quote details. When you use the quote form or the contact form, we collect the name, email address and phone number you give us, along with the journey details you enter, such as pickup, destination, date, time and any notes.
- Email you send us. If you email or call, we hold that correspondence so we can deal with your request.
- Basic technical data. Our web server keeps standard logs, which can include your IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure and working. We also record the IP address of a submission that our spam protection blocks, so a genuine enquiry wrongly blocked can be found and fixed.
We do not ask for and do not want any special category data, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Spam protection: Google reCAPTCHA
Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which helps us tell real enquiries from automated spam. To do this, reCAPTCHA loads when you interact with a form and shares some technical information about your device and interaction with Google. Its use is governed by Google's privacy policy and terms of service. The script only loads once you begin using a form, not on every page.
How we use your information, and our lawful basis
We use your details to reply to you, to prepare a quote, and to arrange and provide the journey you have asked about. Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are:
- Legitimate interests, to respond to an enquiry you have chosen to send us and to run and protect our website.
- Contract, where you go on to book a journey and we need your details to carry it out.
We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
Cookies
This website does not set its own tracking or advertising cookies, and it does not run analytics that profile you. The Google reCAPTCHA service described above may set cookies as part of its spam protection when a form is used. If that changes, for example if we add website analytics, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
Who we share your information with
We share your data only where it is necessary to run the service:
- Our website host, 365i, which stores the site and processes form submissions on our behalf.
- Our email provider, which delivers the enquiry to us and the confirmation to you.
- Google, for the reCAPTCHA spam protection on our forms.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your request and provide the service, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch or we need it for our records or a legal obligation. When it is no longer needed, we delete it. Spam-protection logs are kept only briefly, to investigate problems.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on our host's servers in the United Kingdom. Where a provider such as Google processes data outside the UK, they do so under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask us to:
- confirm what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data where there is no good reason for us to keep it;
- restrict or object to how we use it; and
- receive certain data in a portable form.
To exercise any of these, contact us at enquiries@lincolnshirechauffeurservices.com. We will respond within one month.
How to complain
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
